On the 14 -17 April 2016 Biodiversity Warriors participate in the Indonesian Climate Change Education Forum and Expo (ICCEFE) 2016. This event held in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan. ICCEFE is the first and biggest climate change forum and exhibition in Indonesia.
The event aiming for promotion of climate change action progress in Indonesia. Especially promotion from all the stakeholders in the climate change solution from many sectors towards a low carbon development.
Inovative actions taken are energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change education, green infrastructures, Green City, transportations and cleantech industry, technology inovation, investation and carbon market, also green business.
Biodiversity Warriors, Yayasan KEHATI member became interviewees in the talkshow themed “The Role of Young Generation to Control Climate Change”. The talkshow was in Friday 15 April 2016, with Mr Ahmad Baihaqi as the interviewees. Another interviewees is Mr M. Akbar Rafasanjani from Teens Go Green Indonesia (TGGI), Yayasan KEHATI.
Abay (Ahmad Baihaqi’s nickname) said that climate change effect is very reflected in extrem weather change. This condition have negative impact to biodiversity, “Young generation is the best agent of change who determine environmental fate” said Abay when he was asked why young people have to participate in climate change action.
